This exciting and unique position could be yours if you have specialist experience in animal handling, welfare and monitoring, and are keen to work out-of-doors in a challenging but enthralling environment. You will be committed to playing a major role in the trial re-introduction of this extraordinary species, and will engage with the local community, government agencies, volunteers and other stakeholders to meet the project’s objectives.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate practical experience in animal handling, capture and welfare techniques and have experience of wildlife monitoring projects. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are also required.

A full driving licence is essential and boat handling, report writing, research and volunteer management skills are desirable.
