Circa £19,000 pa (pro-rata)
Nine month Fixed Term Contract

ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is currently looking for a trainer/presenter for its dynamic and high-profile, natural behaviour displays on a nine month fixed term contract basis. Working with a diverse range of species, ranging from Bald Eagles to a flying flock of Macaws; the successful applicant will work with all aspects of the care, enrichment, training and presentation of the animals used in the displays.

You will need experience of flying and training a range of birds with a particular emphasis on birds of prey. You will also have an appropriate animal management qualification or equivalent experience. Good communication skills, enthusiasm, and an outgoing and friendly personality are essential. Preference will be given to those with experience of speaking in public. You must be presentable in appearance, flexible in your approach, totally reliable, and be able to work effectively both within a team and on your own when the need arises. You will also need a full driving licence.
