Reptile keeper/Instructor - Reaseheath College Animal Centre
Salary- £16,962-£19,224

We are looking to recruit a Reptile/Exotic animal keeper and instructor to join a multi-disciplined team. The role includes supervising students, work experience staff, and conducting practical sessions and assisting lecturing staff in providing high quality, effective provision.

The key role is to assist in the maintenance of a Zoo licensed animal collection, with this role focusing on Reptiles, Amphibians, Invertebrates and Fish, and the delivery to students of all ages a range of handling and management skills.

exThere will also be a requirement to assist in maintaining animal accommodation, and providing the full range of animal husbandry/animal keeping duties for an extensive range of species to the highest possible standards. The animal collection has a Zoo licence and has 167 species and 1000 animals.

To maintain and adhere to all health and safety requirements and ensure all protocols are met.

A strong team player with a flexible approach, you will possess a animal related qualification at level 3 or above and have animal practical experience in A Zoo or exotic animal collection and a clean driving licence.

Weekend work is on a rota basis and occasional evening work may be required.
