Senior Keeper - Bristol Zoo Gardens
Salary £15,745 per annum.

Bristol Zoo Gardens are currently looking for an experienced bird keeper to work as part of our Avicultural team at the zoo. This position requires some supervisory responsibilities and will report to the Curator of Birds.

The successful applicant will be an experienced bird keeper and will have at least three years experience working with a variety of exotic birds.

The successful applicant will be educated to at least GCSE level, including English and a biological science and hold the City & Guilds Certificate in Zoo Animal Management (or equivalent). The ability to supervise staff and having a general knowledge of the conservation and educational roles of zoos is also desirable.

Closing date for applications is 4.00 pm on Wednesday, 5th August 2009, with interviews taking place week commencing 17th August 2009.
