Deputy Team Leader Vacancy at Woburn Safari Park

Deputy Team Leader Vacancy at Woburn Safari Park.

Experienced candidates are invited to apply for a Deputy Team Leader vacancy within Woburn Safari Park. This is a senior post within the Department of Animal Management and Conservation covering the pedestrian area of Woburn Safari Park.

The area includes four walkthrough enclosures (including an award winning lemur walkthrough) and numerous educational demonstration areas from birds of prey, parrots and sea lions.

The person will be expected to deputise to the team leader and so effectively line manage over twenty staff during peak periods. Organisational skills teamed with strong administration skills would be an asset.

This area of the park accounts for the majority of the visitor’s stay and as a result, the successful candidate must be animal, staff and customer focused.

Woburn Safari Park's Department of Animal Management and Conservation is committed to both conservation and welfare, and is fortunate to have the space in which these goals can be best met. Potential staff must share this commitment. Woburn offers a competitive pay structure for the best candidates which will range from £18305 - £18946 dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Successful applicants will be expected to have relevant qualifications and / or experience, with a minimum of six years working within an animal facility, preferably in a line management position.

Applications by way of CV and covering letter to Lisa Santer by the 28th of September 2009 with interviews to be held soon after.
