Senior Reptile Keeper at the Singapore Zoo


The Singapore Zoo is looking for applicants for the position of Senior Reptile Keeper. The successful applicant will be part of a team that is responsible for the daily husbandry and management of a diverse range of reptiles including the Komodo Dragon, Malayan River Terrapin, False Gharial, Indian Gharial, Reticulated Python and King Cobra. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to conduct research and conservation activities both locally and within the region. The Senior Reptile Keeper will liaise with the Curators on the management of the reptile collection and participate in the design and planning of new reptile habitats.



Requirements:

At least GCE “O” levels or an equivalent
Good knowledge of, and a strong passion for reptiles
Previous working experience with reptiles
Good literacy and computer skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team
