Keeper: Asian Apes

Keeper: Asian Apes
Permanent Position

Twycross Zoo, based in Leicestershire, is a registered charity and is famous for its collection of primates. We are proud of the work we do in conservation and education and take part in many captive breeding programmes for endangered animals. About three quarters of the animals housed at Twycross are classed as endangered species.

We need a keeper to join our Asian Apes Section working mainly with gibbons and orangutans. Ideally you will already have an animal-related qualification, but we would consider a trainee keeper role for someone with hands-on experience and the willingness to become qualified.

We offer 31 days holiday, uniform, 5% pension contribution and the possibility of on-site accommodation.

If you are interested, please send your CV with a covering letter to recruitment@twycrosszoo.org

Closing date: 7th January 2011
