WOBURN SAFARI PARK
Animal Encounters at Woburn Safari Park comprises of many different species including, Sea Lions, Penguins, Meerkats, Lemurs, Marmosets, Wallabies, Rhea, Birds of Prey & Parrots. Set in the foot area of the park this department educates and entertains all customers to Woburn via demonstrations and viewing areas.
As Head of Animal Encounters your role will be to manage a passionate and experienced team of Animal Keepers and Interns, ensuring that safe and efficient animal husbandry is practised at all times. As Head of the department your role will be to develop the current visitor experience with support from other Heads of Department, Head of Education and Leisure Marketing Manager.
Exciting developments are planned in this area over the coming years and you will be the catalyst of change, working with your team and key stakeholders to redevelop Animal Encounters into an engaging, educating, exciting experience that brings the customer into the world and habitat of the species. Therefore great communication skills and being able to visualise the developments in both the animal and customer experience is crucial to be successful.
This very exciting vacancy will allow the successful applicant to have the autonomy to develop this area of the park largely untouched for many years and welcomes in excess of 400,000 visitors per annum.
