Aquarist

We are currently recruiting for an Aquarist to join our Displays team to care for our creatures whilst enhancing displays for our visitors.

This is a unique opportunity to work with an awe inspiring collection of sharks, rays, freshwater tropical fish, seals and a whole host of other aquatic creatures.  By joining us at the SEALIFE Sanctuary, you will help to care for the animals, as well as the filtration systems that are so vital to their well-being. You will also play a vital role in maintaining the exhibits to the highest possible standards and ensuring that they surpass the expectations of our visitors.

We are looking for the following skills and experience;
A keen fish-keeper with good knowledge of both marine and freshwater systems
Experience within the aquarium or fish farming industry would be advantageous, but full training will be provided
A passion for all things aquatic and a commitment to conservation and animal issues
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to be flexible/adaptable as per the business operational requirements

This role is Full Time, Permanent, averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends and bank holidays as required.
