Then we could have the ideal role for you. We currently have an Assistant Penguin Keeper vacancy within our team at SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Auckland.

About the Role
As an Assistant Penguin Keeper you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day care and management of the penguin species, their exhibit and life support system.

Your duties include but are not limited to
•             Providing a suitable environment for our penguins which offers excellent welfare.
•             Meeting all husbandry requirements of the penguins including cleaning, dietary, veterinary and breeding requirements.
•             Observation and maintaining a high standard of record keeping.
•             Conducting feeding presentations and educational talks to visitors as required.
•             Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

About You
The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about and have an understanding of animals and will display commitment, loyalty and a strong work ethic. Animal husbandry experience/ knowledge would be a definite advantage, in addition to physical fitness as some heavy lifting will be involved.
