About the
Opportunity
A fantastic
opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic and talented General
Manager to lead the future strategy and day-to-day operation at one of
Australia’s most famous animal attractions, SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium!
While no two days
will ever be the same, your overarching responsibility will be the day to day
running of the attraction with a focus on product delivery, guest experience
and financial performance. You will achieve this by ensuring that our teams are
working together cohesively to deliver the highest possible standards to
achieve attraction financial metrics and non-financial KPIs. The role is responsible for all aspects of
SEA LIFE Melbourne’s Aquarium’s day to day performance and will lead the
attraction team in all areas of the business – from the delivery of amazing and
memorable experiences to each and every guest, overseeing the implementation of
all sales and marketing initiatives to drive visitation, achieving outstanding
commercial results and ensuring that health, safety and security is always our
number one priority. In addition, you will lead the future strategy of the
attraction identifying future growth opportunities and the plans to achieve
these from a growing Melbourne market.
About You
Knowledge in
creating, implementing and driving strategy and developing and managing a range
of budgets is essential for this role so you should be able to demonstrate a
proven track record this area. As people are our greatest asset, we will also
be looking for a leader who has the ability to support and coach direct reports
in developing the skill sets needed for their roles and the business. Previous
experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of sales &
marketing and driving results, is essential for this role. We are a looking for
a General Manager who can come in and build upon the great work that our team
here at SEA LIFE has already achieved and move the attraction forward to the
next level. In this role, there is an opportunity to have a direct involvement
in shaping the future of the business and achieve significant growth but we
need to make sure that the successful candidate balances their approach and
understands that we do it all for the love of fun!
