Sourcing and Logistics Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing and Logistics Coordinator based at our Merlin Animal Welfare and Development Department in Weymouth.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Animal Sourcing Manager in the development of the world leading ethical sourcing strategy which includes the development of a global animal supplier auditing program and assisting with the coordination of ground-breaking programs of positive environmental change. In addition to this you will be in charge of leading the sourcing and logistical aspects for key animal projects working in collaboration with the MAWD development team, involving global communication and keeping up to date government legislation changes.

We are looking for the following skills and experience;
  • Background in animal sourcing and logistics
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with people on all levels
  • Strategic thinker
  • Understanding of local, national and international government rules and regulations with regards to animal movements would be a benefit
  • Experience in managing conservation projects


This is a permanent role and the hours of work are 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday (40 hours) but the need to be flexible is essential. Occasionally you will be required to work away from home.
