zoOceanarium Group
specializes in developing and operating world class aquariums, zoos and
naturebased science centers. We provide services from concept design to
managing daily operations and everything in between. With over 100 full time
employees from all over the globe, zoOceanarium Group consists of animal care
specialists, animal trainers, veterinarians, design specialists, project
managers and operational staff. zoOceanarium Group is continuing to expand
their team and looking to recruit a talented Horticulture ocused Biologist for
an exciting new facility in the United Arab Emirates.
As the
Horticulture-focused Biologist, you will be responsible for the well-being of a
diverse collection of plants and animals within a large tropical rainforest
bio-dome, with a special focus on the plant collection. The health and
aesthetic appearance of the plant collection will be the primary responsibility
with additional support provided for the Living Exhibits team to maintain the
animal collection.
Duties:
• General plant care
including pruning, fertilizing, and propagation
• Maintain the
facility Integrated Pest Management Plan
• Animal husbandry
including preparation and maintenance of animal exhibits
• Complete public
presentations that inspire guests
• Other duties as
required

Position
Requirements:
• 1 year
horticulture experience; experience with tropical plants is a plus
• Educational
background in horticulture is desirable
• Good
organizational and communication skills
• Excellent public
speaking and presentation skills
• Willing to work
shifts (early mornings and late nights)
